Voice actor Alan Lee confirmed via Twitter that he is voicing Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat 1.
Alan Lee has done several characte voices, many of which are cartoonist, but some sound more mature and even sinister. I definitely think his voice leans towards youthful, but if the leaks about this Shang Tsung being Damashi’s ward are true, that would make sense in my opinion. I look forward to hearing how he sounds in the role.

Some of Alan Lee’s demos can be heard on his official website. Under the character section you can hear a sample of his voices. Many are cartoonist, but a few sound more mature, even slightly sinister, much like the wicked sorcerer Shang Tsung.
