I do wonder your intentions with uploading this article, but whatever they are the situation is incredibly sad. Seems like a teenager indoctrinated into extremism, supporting fucking Azov??? Awful situation, I feel so bad for his grandparents.

Mediazona (Russian: Медиазона) is a Russian independent media outlet focused on Anti-Putinist opposition that was founded by Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, who are also co-founders of the protest group and band Pussy Riot.

Ah, I see. I’m not pro-Putin but considering the way the article is framed and your interpreted intentions, this makes sense. Is it trying to make the authorities in this situation look bad, even though the sources and evidence point to neo-Nazi extremism? No amount of sympathetic framing made this article the gotcha some might think it is. They admit there’s video evidence and chat logs linking to extremist behaviour. Yes this is very sad (if it is true), a child being groomed into the far right is atrocious, but what outcome did you expect?

Are there any other sources on this story? Because when I look up the kid’s name nothing comes up except the pussy riot article and a Wikipedia page about a Soviet sniper.

I am aware the OP has been banned but this is more so for others.

I mean, what can I say, poor him, but that’s the price ye pay when ye do the below for some provocateurs…

The detention of then-14-year-old Valery and his 18-year-old friend Nikita in Solnechny, a 12,000-person village in Khabarovsk krai, became known in October 2023. According to Baza, a Telegram news media channel, the youths “sympathised” with the Ukrainian Azov Brigade: Nikita allegedly administered “groups and chats” on Telegram and VK, “propagating the battalion’s ideology,” while Valery “engaged in practical activities and also supported Azov.”

“The provocateurs brought this petrol, showed how to do everything, and Valery posted it,” she laments. “And it’s as if he wrote something else… I forgot… ‘There’s more to come,’ or something like that…”
