So I have setup piper on a docker container. Integration with home assistant setup and it seems to work (albeit slowly) to my HomePods.

Just thinking what use cases do people have for TTS to give me some inspiration?

    Hi, endless ones - I use it for:

    • announcing the news in the morning
    • announcing when to clean / refill humidifier
    • announcing when to clean / refill vacuum robot
    • announcing when flat is overheated and it is cold enough outside to open windows
    • announcing when my better half is close to home
    • announcing when the dryer/washer/dishwasher is ready
    • announcing weather forecast for the day (when I need an umbrella etc.)

    Holy smokes, it’s my most-used feature. I broadcast to the whole house any time there’s something important. Friend at the front door, pill reminders, time to do this or that, etc.
