Created this community after seeing this thread over at !MLS@lemmy.world.

I am entirely new to the fediverse and not experienced at modding anything, so would be very grateful for mod volunteers, suggestions on community guidelines, alternative media to use for the site, sidebar content, or whatever!

I tossed up a banner image using a photo that I took from the CCL championship celebration / trophy lift, but any alternative free to use, higher quality image would be great.

Here’s hoping this is off to a good start!

Thanks for setting this up! Im a bit late to this but I think everything looks good and on the right track here. Im very interested to see how it grows! Ever since I joined Lemmy, Ive been wanting to be more involved with the communities more than I did with reddit where I never commented. Ive never been a mod or anything but if you need anything Im always down to learn and help anyway I can! Go Sounders!

I second this, thank you! I’m new to the fediverse too, since June 12 anyway, and am missing so many of my niche and local subs. Similarly to OP, I’ll try to be less of a lurker this time around.

That sounds great! I never posted a single thing on Reddit either, but this feels much more akin to my days on bulletin boards 15-20 years ago. Please post!!

Thanks for volunteering! Added you to the mod list. We haven’t really needed any moderation yet, and I don’t really know what mods are supposed to do, but I guess we’ll just weed out any spam / rules violations that may crop up and try to make sure the level of discourse is reasonably chill?
