    Yeah but 9 times out of 10, a van carries more, is secure and shelters whatever is being moved…

    Why builders use these to carry tools is dumb since most of the timber arrives flat packed anyway on the back of a hiab

      everyday folks that have an acre or two of land aren’t gonna spend a bunch of money on one of those huge trucks when they could get a pickup truck which is a car that can move their family AND can carry stuff without destroying the interior. They’re useful for moving dead tree or bikes/luggage for a camping trip. There are legitimate uses for a pickup truck, even if the big modern ones are annoying to use.

      I hate how modern trucks aren’t built to be actually used like a truck :/

        I get you on those points - they had a legit job to do, now they’re just who stroking devices (and honestly, that’s valid - just don’t do it in front of everyone else!)
