She’s already turned into a corporate Dem. She’s trying to become Pelosi 2.0

After grassroots pressure, AOC said in March that the Biden admin is complicit in an “unfolding genocide” in Gaza.

Now given a primetime appearance at the DNC, AOC forgets the whole genocide thing and falsely claims that Kamala Harris “is working tirelessly to secure a ceasefire in Gaza.”

Edit: I used to talk to her before she was elected. She used to be very progressive but changed like they all do once elected. She was active on Reddit’s SandersforPresident sub.

First, there’s more than one issue on the minds of Americans. I hope you, like the gun rights people and the abortion people, can see that.

Second, the Biden administration and Harris, especially in the context of the DNC, are now different things so both statements could be true.

Third, what makes you say it’s untrue that Harris “is working tirelessly to secure a ceasefire in Gaza.”?
And, what makes you say this is the only thing a politician has fabricated or misconstrued? I mean, you just sound like a delusional Trumper.

      March 3 https://www.npr.org/2024/03/03/1235712368/kamala-harris-gaza-ceasefire-israel-aid

Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday called for an immediate, temporary cease-fire in Gaza to facilitate a hostage deal between Israel and Hamas, and pressed Israel to do more to increase the flow of aid to alleviate the “immense scale of suffering” among Palestinians. Her remarks are some of the strongest made by a senior U.S. official regarding the protection of civilians in Gaza.

      March 4 https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/kamala-harris-gaza-speech-watered-down-cease-fire-rcna141750

The original draft of Harris’ speech, when it was sent to the National Security Council for review, was harsher on Israel about the dire humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and the need for more aid than were the remarks she ultimately delivered, according to one of the current officials and the former official.

      July 25 https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/25/harris-netanyahu-israel-cease-fire-00171315

Vice President Kamala Harris met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in private Thursday and followed it with a strikingly forceful call on his government to get a cease-fire deal done and ease the suffering of civilians in Gaza.

      July 26 https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/25/politics/harris-netanyahu-israel-hamas-ceasefire/index.html

far-right members of the Israeli cabinet have pushed against a deal, criticizing pressure from Harris to secure one.

      Yesterday https://apnews.com/article/us-israel-blinken-hamas-palestinians-gaza-34f91f99c9a4f63e98134aaecb7af971

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Monday that Israel has accepted a proposal to bridge differences holding up a cease-fire and hostage release in Gaza

Finally, if not AOC, who is “left enough” for you?

Since March. 6 months ago. What’s changed other than they keep sending money and weapons?

Again, most Americans have more than one issue on their minds. If all you care about is one thing, that’s great for you but you’re not having a conversation about whether a congress person being left enough.

Again, if not AOC, then who is left enough?

No. Of course not. If that’s the only issue, or even top 20 issues, you think that matters to most people, you are either a very privileged, delusional, or malinformed person. In most polling, the country has been divided in half about the war to begin with.

              July - https://news.gallup.com/poll/646955/disapproval-israeli-action-gaza-eases-slightly.aspx

Do you approve or disapprove of the military action Israel has taken in Gaza?
              42% approve, 48% disapprove (+6%, -7% since March).

For the third time, if AOC is not left enough, then who?

Correct. We do not have actual leftist politicians in the US. We have a small few that are left leaning.

How about prominent leftists take center stage? Real leftists

We do not have actual leftist politicians in the US.

So you knew the answer all along.

                  I guess that’s it.
I mean, it’s not a trick question. I genuinely want to know.

I don’t have a problem with people being passionate about topics. It’s important. It’s also important to be somewhat informed or at least able to pull rational facts before you go on about something. And it’s important to understand you’ll never know everything going on about a subject or in the minds of others from your keyboard. Don’t let your emotions blind you - allow them to propel your curiosity and intellectual growth.
