I just got a Ryzen 7 7700 to upgrade from the Ryzen 1700 I’ve had since it was released. I ordered a Corsair H115I Elite Capellix XT for the 7700. I wanted to use that old 1700 for my girlfriends computer but the cooler that’s on it is terrible. Basically, I’m just wondering if I can use the stock cooler( Wraith Prism) that comes with the Ryzen 7 7700 on the Ryzen 1700.
AM5 and AM4 coolers use the same mounting hardware. According to Corsair, AM4 coolers are compatible with AM5 motherboards so I’d expect the opposite to apply.
