I nobo’d a couple years ago. Thinking of doing a southbound hike this fall. I’ve never hiked past September, and I really loved the trail. Curious if anyone has ever hiked the trail more than once.

I did the NoBo with more of a “constraint” so I hiked it in 37 days. My SOBO was 48 days.

The challenges SOBO was mostly how moist the trail was. I had morning dew collect regularly on my tarp and more overall rain. Every morning was wet it seemed, vs in the spring I didn’t even set up my tarp once. Also, it was wayyyy less people. Like half to 1/3. That could be good or bad, depending on the experience you are looking for.

Days got relatively short. Like 6:30-7 sunset, if I remember. Not bad at all.
