Hi folks, this year I did Oracle to Roosevelt. I’d booked my flights several months in advance and the weather changed my plans from starting at the Southern Terminus. I absolutely loved it and I’m heading back next spring. However, what do you think the chances are of another snow year?

There’s a good chance of a wet winter. El Nino is here, and that usually means wet winters in the southwest.

But it’s not a guarantee (nothing is with the weather), so I would wait as long as you can to set your start date.

Hi, what you’ve said is bourne out by https://www.weather.gov/fgz/Ella nigh on exactly, thank you. Thing is, I am bound by time constraints. I was thinking the second three weeks of March but I’m now leaning towards mid April. Would this be a reasonable time to do the sky islands?
