    Why they ever allowed them to keep them on themselves at all is beyond me. Clearly a bad idea. Make the kids put them in a lock box till the end of the day, let em check em during lunch time. Any emergencies the parents can contact the school and vice versa.

    Pretty common sense but here we are with a problem.

      i work in a school. staff have pretty much no rights to enforce things. they aren’t even allowed to defend themselves against assault by a student. i know teachers who have quit due to violence enacted or threatened against them and their families. and i work in elementary. so this doesn’t surprise me
