Now that you mention R Crumb, it seems like there are a lot of similarities to Everett True.
I wasn’t alive during that era so unfortunately I’m unfamiliar
No one would try to tell this guy a funny story, he is obviously a violent man that is triggered by any very small annoyances life presents, no one would want to be near him.
Sometimes, I understand his outbursts completely. But sometimes he just needs a Snickers…
