Hey all! I’m trying to get “Star Trek: The Next Generation — A Final Unity” up and running on my PC. I’ve never ventured into the DOS emulation scene before, so this is all new to me.
I downloaded vDOS to get everything running, but the only file I can find for the game is an NRG file that I can’t seem to natively run. I’m aware that I need to convert it to an ISO or other readable disk format, but I’m not really sure where to go from here.
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!
That might be a solid solution. I think I was a bit intimidated by the (relative) complexity of DosBox compared to vDos, but it seems like a reasonable way to go about it. Thanks for the link! That makes it much easier.
Glad that helps. It’s been awhile since I’ve REALLY fucked with DosBox. I could point you in the right direction for things like mounting drives/virtual drives as CD-ROMS, configuring to automatically run commands on startup and other basic-ass things. DosBox is incredibly fun. If you have some trouble, feel free to hit me up. I might can help.
If you have a ton of HDD space, another option is eXoDOS.

I’ve been following eXoDOS releases and updates for years now. You can easily find the torrent on public and private trackers, as well as the site I’ve linked to. You can pay for a physical copy to support eXo, too
It’s the most complete collection of DOS games I’ve found. There’s no way I can explain how awesome it is and simple to use.
