It’s just a little power pack. Plenty enough to start a house fire, but I don’t think just being nearby for a few minutes is enough to drop you dead, or electric car crashes would be a death sentence

Electric car crash fires would be a near instant death sentence if the car were in an enclosed space. Also if you are trapped in you car with the battery fully on fire you obviously wont survive but usually people die from other causes before that becomes an issue.

People keep dying because their faulty e bikes catch fire in their homes. With this small battery, humans would have enough time to escape, but these dogs stood there for minutes.

Right, part of my point was that this battery is a tiny fraction of the size of one in any electric car. It’s certainly not healthy, but it’s not drop-dead unhealthy at this size, plus this is a pretty short video. For all we know the dogs might develop issues in the coming weeks

The resulting hydrogen flouride gas is apparently what fucks up your lungs, but that is lighter than air so it might have just been insufficient volume to fill the whole room down to the dogs level. Its very irritating so if they were to breath it in, i doubt they would just stay there but idk how stupid dogs are with this kinda thing.
