    Yeah, but that’s even worse, right? Like if that’s the case then they were raping a “slave”, or “livestock”. Either of those is a whole lot worse?

      Yeah that was my first thought too.

      Colonizers view the colonized as existing to serve solely at the leisure of the colonizer. Less than animals, they’re seen as toys.

      EDIT Actually, remembering Fanon, the colonial situation dehumanizes both the colonized and the colonizer. While the colonized are dehumanized as animals, the colonizers view themselves as gods.

      The gods are beyond reproach.

        My community and I have been actively in the process of decolonizing our minds - modes of speech, how we behave towards each other. It’s a process. And the ‘gods’ may be unwilling to engage with that process.
