But that too is in service of expansionist goals, as Netanyahu knows Trump won’t be troubled by little things like human rights or international law as Israel consolidates control over Gaza while continuing its settlement of the West Bank. Nor is that mutually exclusive with Bibi saying whatever needs to be said to keep the weapons flowing in the interim - the massacre in Gaza is not possible without the sustained flow of western arms.
