    I’m not a fan of Intel, but LGA 1700 had 12th, 13th, and 14th gens.

      Shit, shit and a repeat of shit lol. 14th is literally half 13th gen iirc. Imo this only counts if chips like the Core 2 E6750 count as their own gen.

        You said generations to a socket, not chipsets to a socket. I’m not arguing they aren’t trash, but they exist.

        In any case, get a 7800x3d if you want gaming, or a 7900x for production.

          fidel-wut The chipset is on the motherboard… you do have to ask what qualifies a new gen. Was the FX-9590/9370 a new gen vs the FX-8350/8320? 14th “gen” features zero architectural changes. Even the Core 2 Duo refresh I mentioned has better claim to being its own gen. (faster fsb, etc)

          That is true though, luv X3D chips for gaming.
