First off, I understand the necessity, and applaud these groups for their contributions. However…
Imagine a world where tight election funding laws exist, and instead of having to attempt to buy democracy by effectively funneling money into some billionaire’s media company, groups could use these funds within their own community.
Until we have publicly funded elections or at the very least an evenly distributed pool, all politicians will be beholden to special interests.
Didn’t she sentence a bunch of black people to years of chattel slavery?
She spearheaded relatively progressive prison policies including programs with forgiveness and record expungement
