I haven’t! I only started eating eggs a few weeks ago. I wanted to cut down on the insane amount of oat milk, muesli and oats that I normally consume and all I ever hear is that eggs are amazing for you.
I’ve been a vegetarian for years so every time someone sees me with eggs they say ‘are you allowed to eat eggs?’ which royally fucks me off. removed I’m 40 years old, I can eat whatever the fuck I like.
I’ve been mistaken for a vegetarian a few times even though I’m not, and have never claimed to be. I don’t eat pork (no, not religious reasons, just don’t like it) so when I ask for no bacon, sausage, etc people automatically assume I’m a vegetarian. I don’t quite know how they jump to that conclusion.
I’ve never been big on meats and these days there’s loads to choose from which is non-meat. Given the option I’ll choose plant based.
Not that it matters at all and there is never a need to strictly hold yourself to a dietary rule. The term for a vegetarian that eats eggs and dairy is “Lacoto-ovo vegetarian”
That’s weird - how can 25% of people not have boiled an egg when 55% of them claim to have made a Victoria sponge? Or is it only me who puts boiled eggs in their cake?
boiled eggs in a cake? have you gone completely mental
You haven’t lived until you’ve experienced a cheeky boiled surprise cake.
Yeah, like the old saying, you have to boil a few eggs to bake a cake, right?
Thought it was:you have to cake a few bakes to egg a boil, my mistake
i stayed at a premier inn a number of years back and they couldn’t boil one of our group an egg. Chef didnt know how. Oh how we laughed. Poor bloke got rinsed
I stayed at a premier inn during lockdown and boiled my eggs in the kettle cause the kitchen wasn’t open. I made a whole meal actually. Only disappointment was there was no trouser press to make a toasted sandwich
This feels so Alan Partridge
Successfully or…?
I haven’t
I never liked eggs, always thought they were gross, smelled like farts.
I also went vegan like 4 years ago (yes, i absolutely had to tell you) so I don’t think i’ll ever do it. Not sorry.
I don’t think I have. I had an allergy to eggs and avoided them most of my life. Got tested a few years back (getting flu vaccines was difficult due to it being cultivated on egg) and turns out it must have been a childhood allergy. I’m now slowing entering the world of eggs.
I haven’t boiled an egg but I have tried one. The white part was nice but the yolk made me gag. The texture didn’t agree with me.
I’m still allergic to eggs so have also never boiled one. Fortunately to me they look and smell rank so I don’t feel like I’m missing out on much.
No you’re not. I’ve only had two. Scrambled egg is ok but it’s not something I’d choose unless it was given to me.
All I can take away from this is people are weird.
I’ve not boiled an egg. I only like hard boiled egg, but not enough to go to the effort of boiling an egg. Soft boiled eggs, fried eggs, poached eggs, scrambled eggs all make me retch. Both the smell and texture of eggs that aren’t hard boiled I find repulsive.
If we’re away and getting breakfast at a café I tend to go for the vegan breakfast as it’s the only one without lashings of egg.
Allergic to eggs so safe to say I’ve not had one
Boiled is only good for cold eggs and cold eggs just remind me of Tesco egg sandwiches so yes but the last time was maybe 10ish years ago for a salad
