    I don’t know why I am not seeing these posts until 7 days later. That’s weird

    The banking system lets you deposit, but not withdraw, they can’t act all shocked Pikachu when nobody wants to deposit their cash anymore.

    I wonder if people are able to transfer their money? I’m sure foreign transfers are very difficult right now.

    Is cash the only thing that’s restricted? Is my real question

      The reason people are withdrawing their money is because 1) value of money is decreasing rapidly and they want to purchase goods or stores of values (gold etc) with it; 2) they don’t trust the junta.

        Agreed, but the article was complaining that businesses were also not doing their normal cash deposits… for the reasons you listed… plus the fact they cant withdraw

          Yup. It’s back to the old days and old ways. It’s cash and goods trading society. This military keeps sending the country back to the stone age.
