It’s good if you can get past it’s unintuitive UI.
Pasta might be an improvement over its current UI.
That’s just because of all its spaghetti code.
Plugins can also help with that

PhotoGIMP should work if you want a more Photoshop-y feel, though it’s not a plugin, it’s config file changes
