    Except no serious regulatory laws will ever make it through Congress so long as it’s as broken and paralyzed as it is now.

    That’s the point. That’s the strategy. Congress is frozen, the Court is captured, and now the Executive is diminished. The government is paralyzed to regulate capitalism now. This has been the plan for a long time, only now do people grasp it.

      Pure capitalism has never been tried before so I guess this is the next chapter in the American experiment.

      Hopefully we can come out of it with some stronger laws to prevent a government take over again.

        Don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. You’re correct. Pure capitalism is free from regulations. The goal is that the “market can regulate itself”. We’ve seen what happens with less regulations. It’s not hard to imagine it with no regulations (“safety regulations are written in blood”), but never have we had “pure capitalism”

        The part that may be getting downvoted is your second sentiment, which though I would love, I don’t see a path for it right now.
