I really haven’t been engaging because someone replies to a remark or asks me something and I have no idea.

          It’s the bell in the top left of the home screen, I too believed that to be the case until I was told otherwise. Like I’m doing for you! :)

    If you’re using Memmy or wefwef, there’s a number that pops up on the inbox icon showing how many messages you have. Pretty sure push notifications haven’t been enabled yet though. Thunder has an inbox as well but no indicator for new messages or how many.

      Push notifications are something I’m looking forward to when using Liftoff.

    The only notifications that I ever get are email notifications, and that is because I have that set up in my user settings. I get an email notification when someone replies to a post or a comment that I’ve made. I’ve never got any notifications from any of the Lemmy apps that I’ve been trying out.
