They already have those stupid looking things over the front wheels, might as well put them back over the back too.

Hell by 2030 it’ll just be LMPH3. I shall miss open wheel racing.

This is such a horrible, ignorant take.

The recent response from the FIA has been that there won’t be racing at all if it’s too rainy. See Spa 2021. If you actually watch the onboards in any kind of wet weather it’s a shitshow out there. In case you haven’t heard there was a death at Spa 2 days ago, in the wet, Dilano van’t Hoff. Uncensored replays are out there on YouTube. There was 0 visibility through Eau Rouge. These will improve safety for rain races, allow them to race more, and have 0 impact on dry racing.

Ignorant haha, tell that to the Formula 1 drivers. They hate the wet tyres, and should use their council to take it up with Pirelli. If the conditions are too torrential to race, then dont race; the fans will be mad for a week and move on. F1 has made enough changes to the cars that the drivers already dont like, why make more mid-season, under a budget cap? Its much easier to just bring out a flag than create, homogulate, and get new parts approved, plus shipped and installed, now isnt it?

If it allows us racing in the rain instead of red flagged races or that two-lap circus at Spa in 2021, I’m all for it!

If I remember correctly the main problem are the heavy wet tyres. Drivers think they are undrivable in standing water conditions. I thought Pirelli wanted to introduce new wet tyres for this season but I don’t know if they are available yet.

exciting, but we have to keep in mind that it won’t completely eliminate spray as the floor and diffuser also kick up some
