Crypto is the most convenient way to help fund dissidents and protestors living under fascist rule for most of the world.
It’s comical to observe this series of events!
Honestly it would be great to have some sort of censorship-resistant alternative to cash, but crypto isn’t even close to that. It’s just an incredibly slow database with numbers that only mean something to scammers.
I mean, use what you got right? Can’t look a gift horse in the mouth. The problem with censorship resistance is that everyone can use it, including scammers. To me, it’s a small price to pay for extending human freedom.
The reason we haven’t got anything better than it is because states aren’t really friendly to things they can’t control. And as long as we live in a statist paradigm, systems will need to be resilient to their interference.
Crypto has found one way of doing that. If there are better ways, I’m all for it.
