The same person who leaked the existence of Metroid Dread assures that a Spanish developer has received the development kit for the successor to Nintendo Switch.
It had better have some decent power behind it this time. I’d say PS4 Pro level performance is the bare minimum for me to purchase another one.
I doubt it will be that powerful. Not even the ROG Ally reaches the power level of a PS4 Pro.
I just hope they leverage the latest chip manufacturing nodes so that the Switch 2 feels like a substantial upgrade compared to its predecessor, which was already outdated the moment it released.
They won’t.
effectively apple has a monopoly on the lastest node at any given time.
also, makes no sense for nintendos strategy, much cheaper to go one or two nodes behind the latest
I’d doubt it.
Especially if it gets marketed as a switch successor.
I’d expect it to be powered by something like the snapdragon 8 gen 1 which has about 2.5Tflops on the gpu
ps4 pro had 4.2Tflops
(even sd 8 gen 2 only had 3.5Tflops, and I doubt that will be chosen for cost reasons).
And you know what?
It’s fine.
Nintendo doesn’t care about highest fidelity, they much rather have you being flexible with it.
and consumers largely seem to agree with the concept
