So that it doesn’t show on All. Would also love “smart blocks” like blocking communities in languages I don’t speak from All

Since we’re on the topic, I’d love to be able to use wildcards to block words and phrases from being displayed. I don’t care one bit about genshin impact, and over on reddit there were hundreds of /r/<charactername>mains subreddits that I had to block one at a time. Would be great to be able to block something like *mains and get them all with one keyword.

This can be great for avoiding spoilers, leaks, beans… There is also the fact that it enables some users to block trigger words.

Would also like the ability to block communities… my feed is nothing but low effort shitposting from 196.

You already can block communities. It’s in the same place as subscribe.

Edit - didn’t realize I was on wefwef community. Ignore me.

I can assure you that I see no such option on wefwef.app. My menu containing Subscribe only has three options: Submit Post Subscribe Sidebar

I can find no evidence of a block button anywhere. Sadly.

If you log on to your instance using a browser you should be able to go to your profile settings and check/uncheck NSFW in the meantime.

Yes, please! And maybe blocking porn could be included in those smart blocks. I browse all to find new communities but the first page is mostly 196, Star Wars, in German, or porn.

I thought if you joined a server with a no NSFW policy you’d be safe from porn there… I guess only if you browse local?

Yes, other federated instances may contain NSFW content, it just isn’t allowed in communities on that instance. You can turn off “show NSFW content” in your profile. More fine grained control should come in the future.

I joined on lemmy.world and am browsing all. It’s not like I want all porn to be gone, I just don’t really want to see it on the front page. Or I’d like it to be spoilered, at least.

And here I’m looking for the opposite. A way to automatically unblur NSFW posts. You have to tap on any that are blurred, there’s no option to unblur by default.

Absolutely this. It’s the main feature that I find wefwef lacking.

I’d love to be able to both subscribe to and block communities without going to their page, too.

Blocking individual users. Both by keyword (e.g. bot in name) and individually would be amazing!

    +1 for this feature.

It was really nice in Apollo being able to quickly/easily block certain subs from showing in All.

Home is good for seeing only posts from communities I’ve subscribed to. But I generally prefer All so that other new or interesting things can pop up as well. I just want to be able to filter out random shit I don’t care at all about.
