Like, I know that desert dwellers do it to protect their bodies from the sun, but isn’t that also an issue in the tropics?

    The biggest issues in deserts is direct contact with the sun as well as protection against cold in the night. Also, humidity isn’t really a problem, so the best solution is clothes covering you.

    In tropics, there is generally more cover, temperatures are more stable and less clothing is better in humid environments.
