I’ve been running https://notado.app primarily for myself for the last 3 years. Like a lot of you, I am moving over to Lemmy from Reddit, and like a lot of you, I learned so much from the comments I read over years and years on Reddit. I must have hundreds of saved comments from Reddit in my Notado account at this point.
The first thing I did after registering my account on Lemmy was figure out how to integrate saving Lemmy comment links to Notado, and I pushed a new update tonight.
I know this is a pretty niche thing, but I thought I’d share on the off chance that there are others like me here!
After going through the painful experience of trying to export my hundreds of saved Reddit posts in a smart manner a couple of weeks ago I would definitely love to avoid the same with Lemmy. This certainly looks like something that can help me with that.
Thanks for your hard work!
If I can even help one person avoid that same fate, it’s worth it!
Interesting project
Does notado let us store local copies, is it open source, and any plans on making it possible to setup largish archives that can easily be searched through?
I wouldn’t say it is a niche thing. I just bookmarked your post for later. And this just proves that it is a great idea and tool to have :)
