Hi! I think it might be prudent to get our shattered communities all in one place, so I am making some random non-crempost thread to do that. I actually think it would be neato to get them here or make our own Lemmy server, but I personally can’t afford to do that.
First of all, in case some readers don’t know, we came from reddit.com/r/cremposting
Other communities that I know of (post reddit blackout):
I don’t know of an official one yet but I will edit this post if I hear about that.
btw, I can’t search this place from the instance I registered on and I had to make two accounts. Am I to assume that’s their problem?
Hey, mod here, this is the official r/cremposting lemmy. We have some other mods here that have more info about how Lemmy works, but this is the official one. (sorry for the late response)
Okay now I can post here from this other instance… but I can’t see other comments ?
They should start syncing going forward, now that you’re subscribed here!
I like the idea of a Sanderson focused instance (with communities for each series, plus cosmere, plus non cosmere, plus cremposting) a lot but yeah, I’m also not volunteering to run it haha
I would be super stoked if such communities cropped up on lemm.ee. I’m a huge Sanderson fan personally 😃
“Lemmy community started elsewhere by some random guy”
That link isn’t working for me, is the community still up?
Works for me! Availability of other nodes might be a big downside of Fediverse though.
I’m sorry will you eli5 that for me, does that mean that I can’t access that link because of what instance my account was created on?
I think so… I am still trying to figure it out. But when I go to the other instance (which I used before this one) I couldn’t find this place in Search at first, and now I found it but the comments weren’t loaded. So it maybe seems that the “one account for the entire Fediverse” thing is a lie lol.
This post and it’s comments were very informative, and shed a little bit of light on what we were talking about.
