Hosting an app is a weird phrase. Hosting implies they are delivering content when they are only delivering an app, the content is hosted elsewhere.
I thought they already had Truth Social and considerable chunks of Xitter and Faceberk. What’s new or different about this, specifically?
I dont give a shit if they are holed up somewhere isolated. I just dont want to be inundated with shitty rightwing memes like I was in 2015.
And?
No realizing that they could just move to Lemmy.
Truth social is just mastodon. I’d be surprised if there weren’t more like that.
Oh they tried, they got banned and any instance they spun up got defederated.
Turns out they don’t like just each other very much. And those instances did not grow on their own.
Thank goodness!
You don’t have to agree with them. That is the great thing about Lemmy. Lemmy is what the Internet used to be. A free and decentralized place. You should embrace that they use Lemmy.
Sounds like something a nazi would say.
And if they wanted their own little naziverse on the fediverse nobody could stop them, but compared to every other social media platform most of lemmy deplatformed and banned nazis, while they get privileged status on Facebook or Twitter.
This sounds like something a left extremist terrorist would say…
Not wanting to interact with Nazis is left-wing extremist terrorism?
Obviously. Of course. Just as welcoming a free and democratic internet and voting for Lemmy to be what it’s intended to be makes me a Hitler-loving racist. Makes sense to me.
You guys need to relax and don’t immediately turn every discussion into “you’re a piece of shit”.
You guys need to relax and don’t immediately turn every discussion into “you’re a piece of shit”.
I find this is more common on Lemmy than people care to admit. I come here to interact with communities of enthusiasts and end up depressed about life.
Seriously? Hyperbole much?
how about embracing their existence on the fediverse by defederating their ass into oblivion?
You have the option to do that.
They’d get downvoted to oblivion.
Yeah… they’re allowed to do that.
