There’s a movie called Sonatine by Takeshi “Beat” Kitano that is a fantastic 90s yakuza movie. Def recommend.
Off the top of my head, I was going to say that Ghost World was mine, but apparently it wasn’t even released is the 90’s, nor is it my highest rated film of that decade, according to my criticker ratings. Those would be a tie between Fight Club and Happiness, although I like the latter a bit better, especially since it stars my favourite actor, PSH, doing what he does best, i.e., playing a sad, relatable degenerate.
