Tesla’s battery warranty is 8 years, 100-120k miles. That’s not bad, but replacement cost after that can be $15,000+ https://carbuzz.com/features/tesla-battery-replacement-cost/

The link I posted about Hyundai isn’t from 10 years ago, my point about batteries being non-standard both 10 years ago and today is valid.

I’m not making the argument electric is bad, I’m making the argument that the lack of regulation enforcing things like repairability and standardization means the consumer takes all the risk buying a 7yo Tesla while musk pushes for his 50 billion payout and dumps his stock. But no, you’re right, I’m being disingenuous, it’s totally not a scam designed to line pockets and fuck everyone else right?

I know English isn’t your strong suit, but your word salad about warranty is irrelevant when the battery packs last 15-20 years and over 400,000km (250,000 freedom units).

      for example: https://www.autoevolution.com/news/2016-tesla-model-s-used-as-a-taxi-has-only-12-battery-degradation-after-310k-miles-221769.html

      and it’s far from unique.

you also happily danced around and ignored the part where I clearly said “non-genuine” and 1/3 the price, and then tried to talk about genuine and full price. I mean, fuck me, what’s the point of even trying to talk to you if you’re going to be so removed?

So yeah, either you’re being disingenuous or you’re a fucking removed. 50-50 chance either way I can see at this point.

But lastly, fuck Musk, buy a Xiaomi SU7 Pro instead. or a BYD Seal or Atto3.
