Paper wallet (actually stainlesssteel wallet) because :

I don’t want my Monero private key to be stored on proprietary software aka Ledger I don’t feel confident trusting Trezor because their CoinJoin implementation and the Blockchain Analyst partner of Wasabi (providing the CJ), also expensive honestly MoneroSeedSigner is interesting but it is a signer device and does not store the key, also vulnerable to some attacks that I don’t feel confident personally. Kastello looks dead or gowing nowhere, please correct me if I’m wrong The Monero Passport fork is promising, a bit expensive but will see how it evolves

I wantto setup an encrypted microSD card backup for my seed. But I need to take the time to do that correctly.

    Ledger until recently.

I like OneKey as it is based on Trezor (and open source) but I worry that they’ll abandon the project if it doesn’t pay off. Then there’s Trezor, now tye gold standard for hardware wallets period.

There are some projects building Monero and multicoin firmwares for the blockstream jade and seedsigner, two open source bitcoin only hardware wallets. I love those interfaces, transactions are shared via qr code, truly airgapped with only that one interface, I think it’s great.

I’ve used to use a Ledger but now use featherwallet on an offline machine. I’d also love to have a device like seedsigner or the foundation devices passport but Monero support is still being worked on for those.
