The bar seems to be set unreasonably low. I think the last popular ‘de-federate sh.itjust.works’ post was about a week old community with 1 member and 25 comments.
If the administration team’s bar for de-federation is that low then there likely isn’t much that we can do.
That being said, according to this post: https://sh.itjust.works/post/139351 The creator has decided to move their community to another instance so the community is abandoned at this point and probably will be cleaned up eventually.
I wouldn’t mind taking the community, I could make that community work with mostly harmless content. My name is based on a conspiracy theory. I was built for this.
You could have just offered to moderate it. Instead they reached out to me to try and help.
