my friends and I goof around a bunch and sometimes, Easy is FUCKED
There was a match yesterday, diff 9 eradicate mission. And not a single bile titan spawned. Never seen anything like that in my 130 hrs played.
We ended up using all the EATs we called down on just bile spewers.
I personally killed seven titans on a haz 7 (I had the second most titan kills) and it’s given me PTSD so now I just carry the spear on every mission. I can’t fathom not seeing one on a 9.
So its not just me then…
I watched something a while ago about how enemy spawns work. Basically, if you spread out you can create much more spawns (it spawns more enemies based on the number of groupings of players, although where they spawn I think choose which group randomly so one group could get fucked by RNG). Also, destroying nests/spawns, ironically, increased the number of enemies IIRC.
This was months ago though and I haven’t played since. This might all have changed, but I doubt it.
I’m hoping for new planets. There are ones I avoid due to fire tornados, earthquakes, etc.
Shield backpack prevents earthquakes from affecting you
the Shield Backpack also ruins the environmental elements that slow you down when you touch them
Hoping that they add new missions and things to do. The game is fun, but it does get a bit repetitive running from point to point. The newish defense missions are a great starting point.
Repetitiveness is why they added the PSN requirement. A little change to your daily grind.
What’s next? Will they partner with EA? So exciting!
I definitely agree on armour (I think they could 2x the differences between armour and I would still barely notice), and that planets could use some variety but I appreciate the weakness of guns, it’s what makes the game unique, I think the game is at it’s best when you kill a massive number of enemies and your whole team in a massive explosion, guns being strong would reduce the amount of FF and make FF incidents feel way more personal.
I think there is still a lot of fertile ground in the game, and I hope the Sony stuff doesn’t cause too much removed eating crackers syndrome.
CEO steps down to allow a full-time CEO to step in. Old CEO refocuses on community involvement and his speciality: Game Design. Points out issues as he does so. Entire online community freaks out after refusing to read article and thinks he’s abandoning ship.
Insert: Gamers game, not gamers business. This is a good thing, not a bad one. Not that I can blame the doomer thinking after all the bs this last year or so in the gaming industry.
I hope this works for the best.
The guns suck, I basically play the entire game just using support weapons. Shotguns are entirely useless for a lot of gameplay.
Thats funny, I almost exclusively use shotguns. I find the assault rifles to weak. I really liked the sniper rifle but it’s just too weak for when things get in close. I’ve started using the quasar as a support weapon so that forces me to rely heavily on my primary as I have to wait so long for it to fire and “reload”.
What do you usually fight with the shotguns? I really want to like the shotguns, but every time it leads to more deaths. The only support gun that seems to kill things easily for me is the Scythe.
Personally I like the Punisher’s stagger effect, especially on berserkers. I’ve heard people use it to stop hunters and spewers too. But I’ve never played on higher difficulty levels.
Incendiary breaker puts in a ton of work against bugs
He basically pulled a Linus Tech Tips, and i’m all for it! It worked out great for them as LTT became way higher quality afterwards, so I don’t doubt this will work out for Arrowhead too
I mostly fight the bots. I will only fight the bugs if there is a specific order that needs to be done. The Breaker does pretty well. The range isn’t as bad as people make it sound but the clips are kinda small.
This is so strange. This guy helped make one of the best games in a decade and steps down because they can’t keep up with creating interesting content months after launch? I don’t think any studio can put out interesting content at the pace gamers can consume it.
He “stepped down” to creative director, he’ll be focusing more on the game and less on the business side of things
Oh that’s what I get for only reading heading lol
