marijuana is linked to increased risk of having bronchitis, and EVALI(all diseases I know so far that is linked to marijuana), anything that is foreign to your body will trigger an immune response that’s why smoking for example causes an increased in immune cells like alveolar macrophage but those new immune cells that caused by any smoke or vapor or as I said any foreign things is futile since it only do one thing clean your body out of it. and from the word bronchITIS, itis means inflamation and as I said before increase of immune cell like neutrophil will increase inflammation so to summarize it, smoke >> irritate airways(releases inflammatory cytokines) >> cytokines trigger an immune response >> increase in neutrophil >> inflammation(bronchitis) simultaneous to that is also an increased in mucus production to trap smoke as much as possible and what happens if there’s so much mucus your airways are narrower and you’ll have to cough up those to clear and widen your airways

alcohol, so far the only known use cases for that for me is for cleaning for example wounds, that’s why it also kills gut bacteria, it’s also linked to decreased lifespan and more psychological problems temporary and permanently there’s more things I forget that I learned from Huberman’s Huberman Lab Podcast

Coffee, let set aside the circadian rhythm for a moment and focus on sleep drive, caffeine sits on the same receptor of adenosine, adenosine is what increases your sleep drive throughout the day, it starts to produce the moment you wake up and clears up in your system by sleeping, also caffeine is a drug and it’s hard to clear it up even 8 hours passed only 50% of caffeine is flushed on most individual not the entire of it, also the increased caffeine is not beneficial for brain power either just searched up “caffeine spider web” if there’s too much caffeine you’ll lose the ability to concentrate and be jittery as fuck!

EDIT: also any type of inflammation means increased fluid in that area kung magka bronchitis ka malaki chance mo na magkatubig sa baga

any substance naman basta masobrahan harmful, even oxygen is theorize to cause free radicals i.e. aging and the top benefits of marijuana is it makes people relax, kaya nga sa medical field ginagamit siya sa mga may mga PTSD, seizure, etc. na stigmatized lang ang marijuana kasi hinehelera siya with other narcotics, which is iba namang yung mechanism, ibang chemical reaction kaya iba rin yung tama sa utak, kaya nga yung mga krimen na nangyayari is shabu or other opioids. making marijuana entirely illegal is depriving people for its benefits, sure their are cons and so any substance naman. marijuana is happppppy lang.

your not weighing kasi the pros, puro cons lang tinitignan mo.

breathing oxygen is vital unlike marijuana and byproducts like free radicals are irrelevant since it’s part of cell respiration, you can’t live without oxygen while you can live without marijuana, also marijuana also produce free radicals in fact all living beings produce free radicals even fish who lives in water, oxygen in water and in air differs but both produce free radicals so what’s the point of your arguments, sure let’s say there’s an increase of oxygen content in air in a limited area it’s not as deadly as MX3 and other supplements portrays it to be, Macrophages eat those even without an immune response, if they don’t do that your entire body will be muddied with too much garbage

but I’m open to idea that there are pros, so what are they?, and are you sure they’re free from publication bias

there is no such thing as unbiased publication, the best way is to look at all sides.

example sabi ko nga sa mga psychiatric problems https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/article-abstract/2338266

          or sa negative impacts https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4827335/

and also marijuana is consumed not only by smoking, there are for example edibles

isa pa sa nadidismiss sa paglegalized is yung pwede na mag research legally once it is approved.

at yung number one kapag nalegalized is REGULATION.

a posible side effect din is most likely it will be alternative sa alcohol, which we know that in many cases could be dangerous, I’m not dismissing that cannabis is not dangerous. for example drunk driving is dangerous like high driving.

at lalo ng malaking effect kaya ako pabor sa legalization ng recreational use ay magiging safer alternative as compare to the likes of opium (shabu).

yung mga crime na patayan is ma lessen kasi why will you go for shabu kung may “legal” naman na marijuana. tapos regulated pa, it’s not 100% full proof. but definitely I believe na ma lessen yung crime related sa drugs.

            • pain? big no, meditation and even a placebo can lessen or erase the pain.

            • psychiatric? could be but only for adults 25 and beyond, for me kids, teens, adolescence and early adults should be illegal to consume even as a medicinal but if the patient wants it, it should be strictly monitored and only do so when other options are wearied out already, remember Xeroxat by GSK has made it to public fooling both FDA and Psychiatrist and Psychologist it is publicly believed to be okay to prescribed to adolescence and only stopped when Spitzer slams them

edibles are not safe either THC traces have some negative connotations surrounding it too and it’s also the reason getting high is a thing

            or sa negative impacts https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4827335/

I agree with all but it cites DSM which is criticized for making homosexuality a mental disease before, and experimenting with grief exception.

isa pa sa nadidismiss sa paglegalized is yung pwede na mag research legally once it is approved.

well marijuana research is already happening, and it’s result is the reason why it’s still illegal.

at lalo ng malaking effect kaya ako pabor sa legalization ng recreational use ay magiging safer alternative as compare to the likes of opium (shabu).

I agree a bit since there’s some truth to it but I won’t encourage someone to try marijuana if they’re not in some other extreme drugs, I’ll only advise it to those who have addiction on much extreme drugs

well in pain meditation/placebo is kinda borderline pseudo science, it’s a mind over matter thing eh, it may effect or not, but if we take the route of protein interaction, madaling makita yung direct science sa effect nung substance sa dopamine, serotonin, endorphins, oxytocin and the likes.

sa recreational, it’s tricky since it’s prone to abuse, we don’t know how to properly regulate it, so we are not ready for that, but when and if that time comes na okay na, I want to try it for once, para naman makaescape sa reality.

meditation is proven to increase pain tolerance, in placebo there’s this American Anesthetist named Henry Beecher, during WWII they ran out of opiate-based painkillers so before the placebo he thought of trying inducing heart failure on utterly wounded soldiers but before doing so he tried gaslighting the soldiers they are taking morphine but what he gives is just a saltwater drip, well the result is the same as taking morphine.

I don’t know about the protein interaction you’re talking about, but if you’re talking about hormones able to bind to any cell in your body and have its effects, then I already knew that, learnt it from Huberman, meditation increases serotonin level which is the body’s natural pain killer so it’s not unscientific.

To be honest, I admit I can’t understand it, now if you understood it explain in layman’s terms, now if you expound this again,

madaling makita yung direct science sa effect nung substance sa dopamine, serotonin, endorphins, oxytocin and the likes.

you’re trying to confuse me since dopamine lang ang nandoon sa source mo sa link, and dopamine is a pleasure hormone so it could be more about pleasure and less or not about pain
