Kenya wants to be a global leader in the switch from diesel to electric buses. The government's aim is for all public transport buses in the East African country to be electric by 2027. A recently opened plant for electric buses plays an important role in this.

    So, this is only 1000 city buses, not the 100,000+ matatus that are spewing diesel smoke down every street in the country. But I guess anything is better than nothing.
