I’ve seen this piece pop up as some counter in forums or elsewhere online. Its very bizarre, at least in my opinion.
At one point in the piece it says communist led world will still pollute earth like capitalist excesses already do. Down further says how the evil soviets did holodomor genocide or evil ccp great leap genocide and its a ecological destruction.
I don’t think most communists are unaware of climate catastrophe or urgency of tackling meat or fossil fuel industry. I don’t think those things come about by some divine stroke of shift popular beliefs overnight cause individuals one at a time will influence masses with their choices.
Also the beginning section is odd to me. I don’t know if communists or some nominal left leaning people say the ethical consumption line to write off and justify horrible state of the system.
As far as I understand the statement on no ethical consumption : its an indictment of this untenable system and how deeply entwined it is with all forms oppression in order to keep it going.
I don’t know overall I think this article is unproductive.

So the definition was made up in the 80s by a comittee of Ukranians… guess who was the leader of the comittee?

Not just the committee but that ucc is broadly a vehicle OUN B banderites. Yaroslav stekso who was prominent Oun B member and huge nazi war criminal. He had been the head Anti Bolshevik bloc of nations (ABN) which had good ties to World anti communist league (WACL).
This ABN through WACL helped Pinochet’s whole anti communist pogroms in chile. Stetsko had connections people in CIA like John singlaub. He got so much cachet in Washington, he had met HW bush at one of the ABN anniversary event.
Stetsko was part of organization of Ukrainian nationalists apart from ABN. This evolved and overall in the 80s took over Ukrainian Congress committee of america which is founding member of World congress of free Ukrainians or now known as UKRAINIAN WORLD CONGRESS.
They have corps in Canada, USA and Australia which manage to have youth leagues. These organizations managed to push for this holodomor narrative and got mileage out of it.
