Does this mean I could buy the sync for reddit app now and when the sign up and everything happens I would be good to go?
I’m pretty sure that the developer will need to post lemmy version as a different app on app stores so maybe wait to purchase.
Tbh, even if it isn’t something you like long term, supporting the effort is a good idea if you can afford it.
But the “good to go” is questionable because it’s a first effort. There could be bugs and glitches with the interface that can’t be predicted until more users are on it.
There is no confirmation on pricing or carry over from one to the other. What you can do is have the normal free version of sync installed and wait to be prompted on how to proceed to sync for lemmy
