It’s pretty crazy that you even have to qualify that statement with “I don’t think”. Moscow, the Russian capital, is legitimately under threat of being overrun by a rogue mercenary group and Putin has already fled the city. That’s insane.
I know these situations are different for many reasons, but it’s starting to feel reminiscent of Afghanistan’s rapid fall to the Taliban. People are just waiting for and expecting some military defense to manifest, but…where is it?
