On Tuesday, U.S. State Department spokesperson Vedant Patel refused to support the U.N. call for a probe into the mass graves in Gaza. Patel was questioned by journalist Said

Said Arikat: “More than 300 bodies have been found. The United Nations is asking or calling for an independent investigation. Would you support such an investigation for this

Vedant Patel: “Right now, Said, we are asking for more information".

Said Arikat: “Right.”

Vedant Patel: “That is where — that is squarely where we are leaving the conversation.”

Said Arikat: “Right.”

Vedant Patel: “I don’t have any details to match, confirm or offer as it relates to that. We’re aware of those reports, and we have asked the government of Israel for additional clarity and information. And that’s where I’m at.”

Vedant Patel: “Right now, Said, we are asking for more information".

Then you’re in luck! Investigations are designed to provide more information!

Yeah, this is stupid. “We won’t agree to an investigation until you give us the result of the investigation”.

Baffles me how so many liberal defenders of Biden say that his administration can’t do anything to stop another country from committing genocide. Except at every turn, his administration aids in or is complicit with the genocide.

Yet if you have doubts about Biden then accused of enabling an agent orange win in the election. I’m so fucking glad that I don’t live in the US so I can criticize Biden without the “YoUr’E SuPpoRting TrUMp” Also I distinctly remember reading that the Biden administration was concerned about the mass graves discovered. So they’re concerned but not concerned enough to pull support or call for an investigation or apply pressure on Bibi or impose sanctions or literally do fucking anything. The administration is all fucking lip service to the deaths of Gazans.

It’s a game of outrage whack-a-mole for these people. It’s pure unadulterated concern trolling. They’re concerned about hypotheticals which make them look good, until they become a reality and then they move on to the next thing.

Disturbing and inexcusable. But I suppose this is expected from the side enabling genocide.

I hate that my only realistic options for presidential candidates are

    A) a geriatric wannabe-dictator who wants to dismantle my country and it’s laws for selfish gains

    B) a geriatric president not only ignoring calls for an investigation into Israel conducting genocide, bit actively providing the country with the weapons to do so

    This timeline is fucked.

These two options are only symptoms. The actual problem is systematic, a result of a FPTP electoral college, capitalism, basically non existent anti-corruption mechanisms, etc.

Even if we scrape by and avoid the wannabe dictator this time, we’re just going to be in the same situation next time unless we fix these inherent problems.

And B justifies doing almost everything A is doing too, by saying “well we are not doing all of what A is doing”.

You have two pro-genocide, pro-fascism, pro-racism, pro-authoritarianism, anti-democracy, anti-education, anti-human-rights candidates. When Biden wins again, it will just be the end to democracy in a different way than with Trump. The US democrats are not a party of democracy, human rights or even basic long term governmental planning. Everything just for profit now and fuck the poor, fuck the young, and murder the brown.

Thanks for linking some top tier Hasbara trash we really needed that account drawing circles around stuff. Now surely israel will let an independent investigation take place to prove that they reaaally didn’t do it. right?

Are these red circles as accurate as the IDF showing us evidence of Hamas tunnels next to hospitals that turn out to be water wells like everyone said from the beginning?
