I think there was some pretty drastic design changes from mid-late 90s bikes and to the early 00s. Just a few years older, look much more clunky and with all sorts of funky colors. I used to have a 95 Yamaha FZR600R in some purple colors that really stood out a few years later.
20 years old but somehow still looks modern. VFRs were great bikes.
