Also KAT. I’ve heard Embiid is hobbling despite just returning. This is the first year with the 65-game rule to qualify for awards and all-NBA (and the contract incentives that go with) in effect. It sure seems like a lot of top players are injured this year
Think Dame and Tyrese aren’t going to be 100% either. Injuries happen every year but this year feels even heavier.
It does feel heavier this year, particularly among stars, ie players more likely to be affected by the 65-game rule. I can’t remember the quote but Tyrese is on record saying that he pushed coming back from injury early because 41 million dollars lay in the balance for him. Given all the names we mentioned, I wonder if the playoffs will end up having the feel of many stars being out
