In order not to be isolated in using its veto power in support of Israel again, the US mission is trying to get others to abstain
Archived version: https://archive.ph/h7UM6
EDIT: Updated the title to reflect that the vote happened.
That’s pretty shitty, US.
I need to set up a macro for “complicit in genocide” cause I’m getting tired of typing it.
Seems super short sighted for the US - would a two state solution (which, according to the US, is the only solution) not mean giving Palestine UN membership?
Also, this was a vote to basically allow discussion on membership to move forward to the full assembly, not an actual vote on allowing membership here and now.
What’s the Bene Gesserit doing on the UN floor?
I hope chairman Xi can save us from the Biden junta. ( I don’t even think I’m joking anymore)
And I will veto my civic duty to vote this November
Crazy that you think Trump will be in any way friendlier to Palestinians
Crazy you think ignoring genocide is the how you beat fascism.
The GoP literally want to dismantle democracy. Project 2025 is known about. If Trump wins, I suspect there will be no more properly free elections
That’s the issue. At least with Biden, you get to vote again in 2028 and have it matter
Will I get to choose between two candidates that support genocide in 2028? Oh boy!
Crazy how you think doing nothing will improve anything
I’m not doing nothing, I just happen to refuse to do one thing (among many things) they asked me to do
Not voting is doing nothing, good job
You’re posting garbage on the internet. You’re doing less than nothing. Don’t even try and claim that you’re organizing or knocking on doors because those would be complete and total lies.
The absolute gall with which you seem to think you have any context into other people’s lives is hilarious. Not voting is doing nothing
Did endorsing genocide boost your FICO score?
I just wish I could vote for both of them. :(
