And it was great.
What was even better was seeing the endgame activities pop up on the screen.
2 uniques dropped from the WT3 capstone dungeon which increased my damage quite considerably.
I had my concerns during the campaign, like is the dmg going to be comparable to D4?
Rest assured it’s just as fun.
This is my first Diablo game (don’t judge) and I loved the storytelling and ambiance of the campaign.
Why would we judge? It’s probably the best hop-in point, at least story wise - it is completely standalone story based on some of the most fundamental lore points. Welcome to Hell!

That should be D3, not D4 :)
You can edit your post.
I was on Memmy and rapidly running out of lunch break. Couldn’t see the button ;)
Story was really well done thankfully and so much better after washing the taste of D3’s story from my mouth.
I was wondering when the extended version of the original teaser trailer was going to fit into everything and boy oh boy was it worth the wait. I’m actually excited to re-play everything for Season 1 and don’t see myself skipping the majority of the events, rather I’m looking forward to picking up elements I may have missed the first time!
What’s so bad about D3? I picked it up with all the dlc just a week ago for $20. I’m just starting act 3 and I don’t have any beef with the game. I do think it’s pretty easy though. Had to turn difficulty to expert and even still then.
This is my first Diablo game and real play through of this type of game so I don’t have anything to compare it to. I’ve def enjoyed my time on it
The story is just very poorly written and extremely lazy. Act 3 was the worst of all of them, so you may have yet to face the worst of it.
I can’t say it any more succinctly than has already been said though (beware, spoilers up to the end of act 4): https://youtu.be/YcJ_XT3oWtY
Would you say that end game stuff is good but not campaign? I don’t wanna watch that yet
The endgame loop is pretty good once you get into a rhythm, though a bit repetitive. I bought the game back in 2013 so I’ve seen most iterations of the game and it definitely improved from its state at release substantial.
I’d say once seasons became a thing I solidly hit more than a few seasons pretty hard and enjoyed it. Honestly the story is somewhat secondary in Diablo games because it ends up fading into the background eventually. But this is why d4 story stood out so much to me – I’m actually looking forward to replaying it as opposed to it just being some obstacle to getting to endgame and starting to increase difficulty to the point where the good shit really starts dropping
