Do you have a case or fly naked?
If so which case and what do you think about it?
Back when i was living that pixel life I let my pixel float around in my pocket in the nude. Then one day the screen got screwed up from a fall. I filled out the form, sent google my $100 to repair it, printed off the shipping label, sent it off, and never received it back, even after months of emailing back and forth about what the hell.
I could have saved all that with a $15 piece of rubber.
All phones since have lived in cases
Otterbox and I really like it!
I’m using the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case, mostly because the phone itself is slippery af
Usually something fairly minimalistic. Memumi ultra thin, little, to no extra bulk, frosted design, protects against scratches, & small drops, but that’s about it…
I have one of those ultra-thin cases that’s like two sheets of paper thick and doesn’t protect from anything but scratches on my pixel 7, because otherwise the back is so slippery it goes flying off whatever I set it on if someone walks across the room.
Case. Very thin one. Plus an ohsnap v3. Which evens out the camera bump really well and provides magsafe.
I know I’m weird and will probably get flak about this, but, I order my case first, then I get the phone. I haven’t had a “naked” phone since the MyTouch 4G. My last 3 phones have all been cased by Spigen Armor/Hybrid’s. I don’t like the bulky cases, and I trade/sell all my phones when I upgrade so I want them as NM as possible.
I had one camera lens glass damaged once… When I was taking it out of the case to sell. RIP Nexus 4. ☹️
I have the dbrand grip on my 6 Pro and I love it.
Considering the same when the Fold comes in but I want to see how it is in hand before I make a decision on adding a case to an already bulky phone.
I use the Rhinoshield carbon SolidSuit and it’s worked great on my Pixel 6 since I got the phone at release. The Dbrand grip has looked tempting, but I don’t have a need to get another case as this just works and works well for me.
Always a case as I’m prone to dropping my phone. Spigen Liquid Air and a Whitestone dome protector. Expensive but it’s very good.
Case (Spigen Liquid Air). No screen protector (curved screen). Wife had an old pixel 3 and it shattered to a million pieces (front and back), so case it is.
I use that case on my Pixel 6. I has saved my phone from a couple of tumbles. No screen protector either and it’s doing alright after nearly 2 years.
Case and screen protector. Always. It’s already a large phone with an awkward camera bar; the case helps even it out and gives something to grip on to.
