The core development team didn’t really say. There is a posting they made in the Announce community of Lemmy.ml where we were sharing them.

yeah, i saw that but didn’t know if the developers knew it existed, guess i’ll drop it there for now.

no, it isn’t federated with the ‘default lemmy’ pool of servers.
That’s what I assumed but then I thought I saw some lemmy.ml users on there. I just overlooked the “enterprise.lemmy.ml” part!
