      Haas is American only by name. The team itself is European. I imagine when people say they want an American team, they want a team that represents America in more than just in name.

        Yeah, it’s a chicken and egg scenario, there’s no F1 experience in the US but they’re not going to get any F1 experience in the US without setting up a team

          I think Andretti wanted to create an American team? That’s what the other teams are blocking, from Andretti with GM becoming the 11th team on the track.

            I can understand why the teams are blocking it, because the prize pool will be diluted, so they’ll be finding the new team instead of F1 doing so,

            Who will benefit from the extra team bringing sponsors and viewers to the party should pay for it is my view

      Do you honestly think the educated American racing fan considers felon Gene Haas and his adoption of Russian oligarch money an American team? First season, yeah. But it went downhill pretty quick and once he painted the car in Russian colors he was dead to many of us.

      McLaren is more of an American team than Haas will ever be.
