      Maybe.

      We don’t know that human-to-human transmission is possible, and even if it is, we don’t know that each infected person infects enough others to make this non-containable.

      We also have well-established techniques for manufacturing influenza vaccines, which would greatly speed any response.

    Animal to human transmission happen all the time. No need for hyperbolic comments until we see human to human transmissions.

      We have animal-to-animal in a variety of other mammal species though.

      Enough to be concerned, and want to make sure appropriate containment happens when we do see even one person infected.
