I think it’s important to keep in mind that depth is a somewhat relative concept. Is this squad pretty deep by CONCACAF standards? No question. But against higher level opponents, like the top-ranked European and South American sides, we probably still have a way’s to go. The good news is that we have 3 years or so to get there, and the player pool should only continue to get stronger between now and then.
